Welcome to the Fun with Friends Registration!

Life is short Live, Laugh and Love spending time with your friends!  This cruise is a charity fund raiser for the Carolina Comfort Coalition. an organization of interested professional and lay people dedicated to serving the needs of people at the end of life. The mission of the Coalition is to establish, with community support, two bed comfort care residences where a terminally ill person, who may be unable to obtain care due to physical, financial or emotional reasons at home, will be provided a home-like atmosphere to die in peace and dignity surrounded by loved ones and friends.

VOLUNTEERS CREATE THE FAMILY ATMOSPHERE

A variety of community members feel the call of compassion for those at the end of life.  Volunteers come to the house for weekly four-hour shifts to perform household tasks and provide a bedside presence.  The volunteers are supported and supervised by nurses and trained in understanding and participating in the end of life process.  Any one from teenagers to retired folks can share their gifts of time and comfort.
